Webb Youth Seerah and Service (ages 11-18) This unique program, going on its 4th year, is the first of its kind in Chicagoland. The Webb Youth's vision is to develop an identity as young Muslim men and women through intellectual, spiritual, and fun activities. Having confidence in ourselves as American Muslims will then help us play an important part in our greater American community. American Muslim teenagers, ages 11-18, will learn from adults and from each other how we can practice our faith using our beloved Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) as our model. Adult facilitators are either professional educators or energized activists. Workshops will be a combination of classes and service projects held on Sundays between September and May. Webb Kids Aqeedah and Action (ages 7-10) American Muslim children, ages 7-10, will learn from adults, youth and from each other the basics of our faith and how we can integrate it with compassionate action in the model of our prophets and elders. Workshops will be a combination of classes and service projects held on Sundays between September and May. Classes and service projects will be separated between two age groups: 2nd and 3rd grades (ages 7-8) and 4th and 5th grades (ages 9-10). Webb Children ages 5 and 6 will learn adab and character through the basics of our faith and how we can integrate it with compassionate action in the model of our prophets! Ayah of the Day
And (remember) when you met (the army of the disbelievers on the Day of the battle of Badr), He showed them to you as few in your eyes and He made you appear as few in their eyes, so that Allâh might accomplish a matter already ordained (in His Knowledge), and to Allâh return all matters (for decision). [Al-Anfal 8 : 44]
Hadith of the Day
Narrated Ibn ‘Umar: Allah’s Messenger said, “A believer who mixes with people and endures their nuisance is better than the one who does not mix with them and endures not their nuisance.” (Ibn Majah reported it with a good chain of narrators. At-Tirmidhi reported this Hadith but he did not mention the name of the Companion)
Quote of the Day
"Whosoever holds fast to God, he has been guided onto the Straight Path." Quran 3:101
